NATIONAL TRANS VISIBILITY MARCH & HRC FOUNDATION LAUNCH “MY VOTE IS MY VOICE” INITIATIVE TO MOBILIZE TRANSGENDER & NON-BINARY VOTERS: “This is a call to action. We must rally all our efforts to changing the current policies that are decimating our community,” National Trans Visibility March Founder Marissa Miller stated. “At a time when anti-equality forces are actively working to discriminate against transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming people, we must fight back to support and protect our community by getting out the vote for pro-equality candidates,” said HRC President Alphonso David (@AlphonsoDavid). • The initiative will launch with a conversation between HRC President Alphonso David and Ashlee Marie Preston (@AshleeMPreston), Founder of #YouAreEssential, today at 7 p.m. ET. More from HRC.

HRC CONDEMNS TRUMP ADMINISTRATION’S DECISION TO EXCLUDE UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS FROM CONGRESSIONAL REDISTRICTING: “The Trump administration’s attempt to exclude undocumented immigrants from being fully counted is unnecessary, craven and blatantly unconstitutional,” said HRC President Alphonso David. “We will continue fighting to ensure that the Census has a count that reflects the true character of America.” More from HRC.

LGBTQ POLITICAL REPRESENTATION JUMPED 21% IN PAST YEAR: At least 843 openly LGBTQ people currently serve in elected offices across the United States, constituting a 21% increase since June 2019, according to the LGBTQ Victory Institute. This is important progress, but there is more work to be done — including representing the full diversity of our community. HRC-endorsed candidates Mondaire Jones and Ritchie Torres, if elected, would be the first openly gay Black men to serve in Congress. More from NBC Out.
